DarbSafi Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 27, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how DarbSafi / درب صافي (“DarbSafi,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, shares, transfers, retains, and protects personal data when you use the DarbSafi mobile application, website, account services, support channels, and related features.
DarbSafi is a driver productivity and earnings-tracking application. DarbSafi helps drivers record shifts, trips, income, expenses, vehicle-related costs, and estimated net earnings. DarbSafi is not a ride-hailing platform, does not provide transportation services, does not connect riders with drivers, and is not affiliated with Uber, Careem, Bolt, Jeeny, or any other ride-hailing or delivery platform unless expressly stated.
1. Scope of This Policy
This Policy applies to drivers, account holders, website visitors, support users, and anyone who interacts with DarbSafi services.
This Policy covers personal data processed through:
- The DarbSafi mobile application
- The DarbSafi website and legal pages
- Account creation, login, and profile features
- Shift, trip, income, expense, vehicle, and reporting features
- Support tickets, messages, deletion requests, and privacy requests
- Notifications, diagnostics, security, and reliability systems
2. Our Privacy Approach
DarbSafi is built around data minimization. We aim to collect only the data needed to provide the app’s core services, keep accounts secure, improve reliability, support users, and meet legal obligations where applicable.
For example:
- We use shift, trip, income, and expense data to calculate reports and estimated net earnings.
- We use location data during active tracking sessions to calculate shift distance, route markers, duration, and driving-related estimates.
- We use a push notification token only to send app-related notifications.
- We use support messages only to respond to your questions, requests, complaints, or technical issues.
We do not sell personal data.
We do not use your precise location, trip history, earnings, expenses, or vehicle records for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.
3. Who We Are
Controller/Entity: DarbSafi / درب صافي, operated by Turki Alenezi
Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
Contact: contact@darbsafi.com
If DarbSafi is later operated by a registered company or other legal entity, this section may be updated to reflect the official entity name and contact details.
4. Data We Collect
The data we collect depends on how you use DarbSafi, which features you enable, and what information you choose to provide.
A. Account and profile data
We may collect:
- Email address and authentication data, managed through Supabase Auth
- Required profile details for account setup, such as full name and date of birth
- Optional profile details, such as phone number, gender, nationality, or referral code, if you choose to provide them or if they are needed for a specific feature, support purpose, localization, eligibility, or legal/compliance reason
- Country code or locale information derived from your device or app settings for localization and consistency
- Account settings, app language, and user preferences
We use this data to create and secure your account, personalize your app experience, support minimum-age eligibility checks, respond to support requests, communicate with you, protect the service from unauthorized access or abuse, and support localization or feature-specific needs.
B. Driver work and operational data
We may collect data that you enter, generate, or save while using DarbSafi, including:
- Vehicle records, such as make, model, year, fuel settings, oil settings, mileage, and related fields
- Shift records, such as start time, end time, duration, distance, status, and related notes
- Trip records, such as platform, fare, timestamps, distance, and optional pickup/dropoff fields
- Transactions, such as income entries, expense entries, source labels, categories, notes, and dates
- Fuel, oil, maintenance, car wash, parking, insurance, and other driving-related costs you choose to record
- Targets, planning settings, summaries, and reporting preferences
We use this data to run DarbSafi’s core features, track shifts and trips, estimate vehicle-related costs, generate period-based and shift-based reports, and help you understand your estimated net earnings from driving work.
C. Location and route data
DarbSafi may collect location data when you start a shift, use live tracking, open map-based features, or use a feature that requires location access.
Depending on your device settings and app permissions, this may include:
- Approximate or precise GPS coordinates
- Route markers and movement-related data
- Distance, duration, and route-related metrics
- Pickup/dropoff location fields when you manually enter or save them
We use location and route data to calculate shift distance, runtime metrics, route-based views, driving-related cost estimates, and shift or trip analytics.
If you enable live shift tracking, DarbSafi may collect location data while the app is in the background to continue calculating distance, duration, route markers, and related cost estimates during an active shift. Background location collection stops when the tracking session ends.
If you do not grant location permission, live shift tracking and route-based distance calculation may not work. You may still be able to enter shift, trip, income, expense, or vehicle information manually where supported.
D. Device, technical, and usage data
We may collect:
- Push notification token
- Device platform type, operating system, app version, and app language
- IP address or similar technical information when needed for security, diagnostics, or backend operation
- Basic operational logs, error context, diagnostics, crash information, and performance data
- Feature usage data needed to maintain reliability, troubleshoot issues, and improve the app
We use this data to deliver notifications, maintain service quality, detect and fix errors, secure accounts, prevent abuse, and improve reliability and performance.
E. Product analytics data
We collect limited product analytics events to understand whether core features work and are used. These events may cover app lifecycle and sessions, screen and report use, onboarding progress, saved vehicle or target choices, completed shift and trip actions, and reliability signals such as offline synchronization, permissions, or GPS errors.
Analytics records may be linked to an account and device session while they are processed for security, deduplication, reliability, and account deletion. They do not include exact income, expenses, targets, fuel values, GPS coordinates, routes, custom labels or notes, support-message contents, raw error messages, or stack traces.
We use this information to measure adoption, identify reliability problems, and maintain aggregate operational and product metrics. Access is restricted by role and aggregate analytics views do not expose raw event records or personal contact details.
F. Support, communications, and deletion request data
We may collect:
- Support threads, support messages, and request status
- Replies, suggestions, complaints, or help messages you submit
- Attachments or screenshots you choose to send to support, if this feature is available
- Announcement read/archive state
- Account deletion request details and technical deletion audit records
We use this data to provide customer support, respond to questions and complaints, send service communications, confirm deletion processing, troubleshoot issues, and maintain records needed for security, operational verification, and dispute prevention.
5. Data We Do Not Collect for Current Services
For the current DarbSafi app flow:
- We do not operate ride-hailing, delivery matching, or passenger transportation services.
- We do not process in-app card payments for ride or delivery fares.
- We do not store full credit card or debit card details.
- We do not collect bank account information for driver payouts.
- We do not perform background checks, criminal record checks, biometric identity verification, driver license verification, or vehicle inspection verification.
- We do not collect rider ratings, passenger communications, or platform eligibility data from third-party ride-hailing or delivery platforms.
- We do not sell personal data.
- We do not use personal data for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.
If DarbSafi later offers subscriptions or in-app purchases, payment processing may be handled by Apple, Google, or another payment provider. DarbSafi will not receive or store your full card details unless this Policy is updated and the feature clearly requires it.

We use personal data to:
- Provide, operate, maintain, and improve DarbSafi features
- Create, authenticate, and secure user accounts

- Provide customer support and respond to requests, complaints, or questions
- Send service messages, support updates, shift reminders, and other app-related notifications
- Maintain app reliability, troubleshoot bugs, and improve performance

- Enforce product safety, anti-abuse, and platform integrity rules
- Maintain operational records related to account deletion, troubleshooting, security, or legal requests
- Comply with applicable laws, legal processes, or lawful authority requests where required
7. Required and Optional Data
Some data is required to create and use a DarbSafi account or to provide specific core features. This may include account data, authentication data, date of birth for minimum-age eligibility checks, vehicle data, shift records, trip records, transaction records, and technical data needed for security and reliability.
Some data is optional. This may include optional profile fields, notes, support messages, optional pickup/dropoff fields, attachments you choose to send, and planning settings.
If you choose not to provide required data, some DarbSafi features may not work. If you disable location permission, live shift tracking and route-based metrics may not work. If you disable notifications, you may not receive shift reminders, support updates, or other app-related notifications.
8. Legal Basis for Processing
Depending on applicable law, DarbSafi processes personal data using one or more lawful bases, including:
- Providing the service: to create your account, run core app features, store records, sync data, and generate reports.
- Consent: where required for permissions or optional features, such as location access, background location, notifications, optional analytics, or optional attachments.
- Legitimate interests: to secure the service, prevent abuse, troubleshoot bugs, improve reliability, respond to support issues, and understand how the app is used.
- Legal obligations: to comply with applicable laws, lawful requests, regulatory requirements, or legal processes where required.
Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent through app settings, device settings, or by contacting us, depending on the type of data or permission. Withdrawing consent may affect features that depend on the related data or permission.
9. Automated Calculations and Insights
DarbSafi may automatically calculate estimated net earnings, expenses, shift summaries, trip distance, working time, fuel cost, oil cost, vehicle-related cost estimates, and other productivity or financial summaries based on information you enter or allow the app to collect.
These calculations are provided for informational and personal tracking purposes only. They do not determine your employment, account status, eligibility, acceptance rate, ranking, or standing on any third-party ride-hailing, taxi, courier, or delivery platform.
DarbSafi reports and estimates may not match official statements, tax records, platform payouts, invoices, bank records, or employer records. You are responsible for reviewing your data and using appropriate official records for legal, tax, accounting, or financial decisions.
10. App Permissions and User Choices
DarbSafi may request access to:
- Location: to calculate shift distance, route markers, trip-related metrics, map views, and driving-related cost estimates.
- Background location: to continue calculating distance and route data during an active shift when the app is not open, if supported and enabled.
- Notifications: to send shift reminders, trip/session alerts, support updates, account messages, and other app-related notifications.
- Camera, photos, or files: only if you choose to upload screenshots, receipts, or attachments for support or a feature that requires them.
DarbSafi does not access device permissions unless they are needed for app features and allowed by your device settings. You can manage permissions through your device settings at any time.
11. Sharing and Service Providers
We share personal data only where needed to operate DarbSafi, provide requested features, secure the service, comply with legal obligations, or respond to your requests.
We may share data with the following categories of service providers:
- Cloud, database, authentication, and backend providers: such as Supabase, for authentication, database, backend services, and related infrastructure.
- Push notification providers: such as Firebase Cloud Messaging, for app-related notifications.

We require service providers to use personal data only for service delivery, security, reliability, support, legal compliance, or other permitted purposes related to DarbSafi.
We do not sell personal data to advertisers. We do not share your precise location, trip history, earnings, expenses, or vehicle records with third parties for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.
We do not share your DarbSafi records with Uber, Careem, Bolt, Jeeny, or other ride-hailing or delivery platforms unless you direct us to do so through a future feature or we are legally required to do so.
12. International Data Transfers
Your personal data may be processed outside Saudi Arabia or outside your country of residence by DarbSafi’s infrastructure providers and service providers.
